Disney World

We spent Thanksgiving week at Disney World in Florida.  It really was an amazing trip.  We saw almost everything there was to see at all four Disney parks.  The kids had a blast spending the week with their cousins and grandparents.  The cousins did a great job keeping each other going.  There were tons of smiles and laughter and hardly any tears or whining.  Here are some of the highlights:

Favorite ride: Splash Mountain (Clara and Charlie), Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Katy), Everest (Jared)
Favorite character meeting: Ariel (Clara), Mickey (Charlie and Jared), Elsa (Katy)
Favorite roller coaster: Everest (Clara and Jared), Dinosaur (Charlie), Space Mountain (Katy)
Favorite restaurant: T-Rex Cafe (Clara and Charlie), Akershus (Katy), Ohana (Jared)
Favorite show: Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Clara), Turtle Talk with Crush (Charlie and Jared), For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration (Katy)
Favorite resort amenity: Three swimming pools (Clara), Cars character statues (Charlie), In-room Keurig courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa (Katy and Jared)
Favorite souvenir: gemstone ring (Clara), Boba Fett's blaster and t-rex puppet (Charlie), coffee mug (Katy), T-Rex Cafe beer glass (Jared)
Favorite memories: being with Ella and Owen; Elsa telling me that when she tried to use her powers to cool things off, her snow turned to rain; and not wanting to put my arms up on the roller coaster ride (Clara); being with Ella and Owen; bumping my head on the steering wheel of the race car; and dancing with the lady who was on stilts (Charlie); drying Jenny's jeans with the bathroom blower after the Kali River Rapids; returning to Epcot so Clara could replace the first gemstone ring she lost within 24 hours; and watching Elsa freeze Cinderella's castle (Katy); movie on the lawn at the resort; Clara squeezing my arm hard on Everest then squeezing really hard when the ride turned backward; and how disappointed Charlie was when he didn't get wet the first time we rode Splash Mountain (Jared)
